The video tutorials are designed to demonstrate how to use the Genealogical DNA Analysis Tool.  It is recommended that the user experiment with the app before beginning a database in earnest.  Even after starting a permanent database, use the File-Backup and File-Restore functions to test how various options work.

Chrome Extensions:

There are 3 Chrome extensions that are very useful for adding data to GDAT.  These can only be used from the Chrome Browser.

529andYou - Used to add triangulation data from 23andMe

Pedigree Thief - Used to add triangulation data from MyHeritage and to capture pedigree charts from MyHeritage

One2Tree - Used to capture pedigree charts from FTDNA and MyHeritage - Windows only.

DNAGedcom Client - For a nominal subscription the client will collect 23andMe, Family Tree DNA and MyHeritage autosomal DNA data from testing companies.  GDAT only supports certain data import data templates but the user may elect to make their own.
